Photos show Cockroach Bay shallow seagrass area on low tide.
Provides boaters with insight to why these shallow seagrass areas are being destroyed by outboard motor propellers. Seagrass habitat represents "Area of Critical County/State/Federal Concern". No absolute “right” is given to any recreational or commercial fisherman to access water bodies that will harm seagrass habitat. Seagrass habitat represents area where underwater plants propagate, wide range of animals travel for food, and where all types of wading birds feed. Protection of these highly vulnerable areas is critical to well-being of these species.
